By law, Participants must report to Builders Trust all workplace injuries that require medical treatment beyond first aid.
At Builders Trust we do not refer to our staff as claims adjusters; we prefer the title “Benefits Specialist.” This may seem like a minor detail, but to us, it is very important. We use this title because our Benefits Specialists truly do “specialize” in assisting injured workers and their employers, by explaining, and simplifying New Mexico’s worker’s compensation laws.

INJURED WORKERS
OUR BENEFITS SPECIALISTS WORK WITH THE INJURED WORKER AND THE EMPLOYER
When one of our Participants reports that an employee has been injured, one of our Benefits Specialists will work with the injured worker and the employer to ensure expert medical care, if necessary. Further, our Benefits Specialists will also explain how disability payments are calculated and paid, should there be a prolonged absence from work.
What We Do
ULTIMATELY, THE GOAL OF THE BENEFITS SPECIALIST IS TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO ASSIST THE INJURED WORKER WITH A PLAN FOR RETURN TO WORK.
The plan could be to return to work part-time or return to work at the same position with some modified duties, or lighter work, until the injured worker can return to the workforce at the same job and same hours.

WE WORK HARD FOR OUR PARTICIPANTS BY DRIVING DOWN THE COST OF AN INJURY CLAIM.
Our team reviews every medical bill to seek out overpricing and/or unnecessary treatment.
We then take it a step further and have partnered with one of the nation’s leading medical bill review organizations, and every medical invoice is scrutinized, and commonly repriced at a cost-savings. Further, we have partnered with a leading pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) to ensure needed medications are received in a timely manner at a negotiated price. Finally, we have also partnered with nurse case managers, professional investigators, and seasoned attorneys.
